Teamwork in Action FOD Walk Success at PJIAE! Sxm St Maarten
A Unified Effort for Safety
On June 16th, the PJIAE team joined forces with valued airport partners for another successful Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Walk.
Among the participants were dedicated representatives from Winair and other key members of the airport community.
Together, they took real action in support of safety.
Focused on Safety and TeamworkThe walk kicked off at Winair Operations.
The route continued westward along the Alpha gate stands and ended at the FBO building.
Each step of the way covered essential airside zones.These areas play a major role in airport operations.
Keeping them clean helps protect both people and planes.
The mission was simple but powerful—find and remove anything that doesn’t belong.
Impressive ResultsNearly 180 pounds of FOD were collected during the walk.
That’s nearly 180 pounds of loose debris, small parts, and discarded materials that could have posed a real risk to aircraft and ground crew.
This outcome proves that even the smallest object on the tarmac can have serious consequences.
It also proves that collaboration leads to results.
