St. Maarten Tourism Bureau (STB) has taken a bold step forward in promoting the island’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) offerings. On June 18, STB hosted a dynamic, fully interactive webinar aimed at Latin American travel trade professionals. The initiative, executed in partnership with Copa Airlines, attracted more than 150 agents and tour operators from across the region.

Showcasing the Best of St. Maarten
The webinar served as a platform to showcase the island’s top-tier MICE venues and hospitality services. Presentations came from major industry players, including:
- Copa Airlines
- Sonesta Resorts Sint Maarten
- JW Marriott Sint Maarten Beach Resort & Spa
- Simpson Bay Resort, Marina & Spa
- Hill’s Event Hall
Each representative delivered focused presentations highlighting corporate travel packages, venue specifications, group accommodation services, and event planning support.

Strong Message to Latin America
“This is more than just marketing. We’re building strong, sustainable relationships with Latin America’s key decision-makers,” said Luis Hurtault, STB’s Marketing Officer for the Latin American Market. “With this webinar, we gave them firsthand access to the best corporate travel options that St. Maarten has to offer.”
Latin America: A Market on the Rise
The region continues to show solid performance. In 2024 alone, over 10,000 Latin American travelers visited St. Maarten. STB sees greater potential ahead, with webinars offering a cost-efficient, high-impact method to reach targeted audiences.
Continued Collaboration Is Key
STB urges local stakeholders to join future digital events and campaigns. Strengthening partnerships will elevate St. Maarten’s competitive edge as a leading MICE destination in the Caribbean.
