Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof in St Maarten SCHOOF: After my visit to the three downwind islands, it’s now time for the three upwind islands. We start on Sint Maarten, to begin meetings with St Maarten Prime Minister dr. Luc Mercelina and governor Ajamu Baly, who I met in The Hague a fortnight ago. That was followed with a meeting with the Ministers and an informal dinner meeting with the house of Parliament of Sint Maarten Among other things, we talked about the progress being made in rebuilding after the major damage caused by Hurricane Irma and the impact of geopolitical developments in recent months. www.stmaartennews.ai
