On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the President of Parliament, Mrs. Sarah A. Wescot-Williams met with the President of the Supreme Court, Mrs. Dineke de Groot to discuss topics of mutual interest, focusing particularly on juvenile law and youth protection.
They also discussed the applicability of treaties in Sint Maarten and the draft Criminal Procedure Code currently being handled by Parliament. The President of the Supreme Court was accompanied by the Vice-President of the Joint Court of Justice in Sint Maarten, Mr. Gertjan Wouters.
